D&B sells Scandinavian assets to Bonnier Business Information.

D&B Inc. (Short Hills, NJ) has signed an agreement to sell its operations in Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway to Bonnier Affarsinformation Holdings (Bonnier Business Information; Stockholm, Sweden) for approximately $40-$43 million.

BBI will operate the acquired businesses under the D&B name and will continue to distribute D&B-branded products and services in the Nordic market. In addition, D&B will receive access to BBI's Nordic business information database for interantional use, and D&B will provide technical support for the acquired businesses under a 10-year services agreement. The D&B Nordic operations generated $44 million in revenue in 2002.

BBI provides business information products and services through more than 70 subsidiaries in 18 countries. It provides products in such areas as direct marketing, financial information, company and credit information, product information and venture capital markets. The company had 2002 revenues of $243 million.
