Cygnus Expositions Launches Firehouse Las Vegas Co-Located with EMS EXPO; Firehouse Las Vegas Partners with Largest EMS Event in the Country.

LAS VEGAS -- Cygnus Expositions, a division of business-to-business media leader Cygnus Business Media, and producer of the highly successful EMS EXPO, Firehouse World and Firehouse Expo, announced today it will co-locate Firehouse Las Vegas with EMS EXPO in the Fall of 2006. By combining the strength of the Firehouse brand with the power of EMS EXPO, this event will be the most significant marketing venue of its kind, serving both the fire and emergency medical services markets, offering unprecedented access to all elements of EMS as well as the fire service. The co-located event will rotate with EMS EXPO each year launching September 25 - 29, 2006 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"The co-location between Firehouse Las Vegas and EMS EXPO will offer substantial exposure for our exhibitors, and will provide added value to attendees," says Cygnus Expositions President Jeff Price. "Both segments of the emergency services industry work cooperatively in very high stress situations. Providing a single location forum for training, seminars and the country's largest product showcase that addresses this dynamic relationship is long overdue."

According to the U.S. Fire Administration, the number of emergency medical calls received by fire departments nationwide has doubled since 1983, with EMS now being a critical component for 80% of fire departments in America. The co-located event will offer hands-on training that focuses on disaster preparedness and important medical response techniques. EMS EXPO leads the nation as the number one emergency medical services trade show and conference, spanning over 90,000 net square feet of exhibit space and attracting thousands of EMS professionals annually.

The partnership between Firehouse Las Vegas and EMS EXPO is expected to draw thousands of attendees and serve as the only trade show addressing the unique relationship between all segments of EMS and fire service professionals. Drawing from decades of conference and seminar programs used at Firehouse World and Firehouse Expo, first responders can expect world-class, in-depth training and networking in one convenient location.

"No other company reaches firefighters and EMS professionals as dynamically as Cygnus does," says Cygnus Business Media President & CEO Paul Mackler. "We are entrenched in the market every day, reaching professionals through Firehouse.com, Firehouse magazine, Firehouse World, Firehouse Expo, EMSresponder.com, EMS magazine, and EMS EXPO. It makes sense for our exhibitors and for our attendees to bring these two segments of the emergency medical services field together for training and viewing the products and services that assist in their job function."

Cygnus Business Media successfully produces Firehouse World annually on the west coast and Firehouse Expo annually on the east coast. The two events attract a combined 23,000 attendees, display over 185,000 net square feet of exhibits, and offer more than 150 educational seminars and hands-on training workshops taught by top experts in their field.

In addition to the company's already established Firehouse tradeshows, Cygnus' Firehouse media products reach over 600,000 unique visitors monthly through Firehouse.com and another 86,000 fire commissioners, chiefs and firefighters who subscribe to Firehouse Magazine. Firehouse.com boasts over 150 million impressions of sponsor advertisements, messages and products every month. In 2002, Firehouse.com acquired the Fire-EMS Information Network, creating the web's largest directory of emergency services sites.

Cygnus Business Media reaches nearly 15 million business owners, executives and professionals annually through its portfolio of over 200 media products. Its four distinct divisions - Cygnus Publishing, Cygnus Expositions, Cygnus Interactive and Cygnus Custom Marketing - provide comprehensive, integrated advertising and marketing programs for Cygnus' valued customers and clients. The company's leading business publications, tradeshows, conferences, websites, online products and custom marketing capabilities enhance brand identity, generate sales leads, and build product awareness as they strengthen customer/client relationships.
