Cyclists go back in time.

Cardiff Cycle Speedway League are holding their annual reunion at the Mackintosh Club, Keppoch Street, Roath, on December 9.

During the '50s Cardiff had around 20 cycle speedway teams split into two divisions but by 1954, due to National Service, it dwindled to just four clubs.

Recently a number of those veterans got back on their bikes for a 50-lap sponsored ride around the Village Sports Centre track in Newport to raise funds for the Newport Cycle Speedway Club.

Anyone interested in attending the reunion can contact Gerry Escott on 01443 209371.
