Cut and dry on West 42nd: Chop't.

Gotham Organization has signed Chop't Creative Salad Company at its New Gotham residential building on West 42nd Street.

Chop't co-founder Colin McCabe said the salad chain opened a commissary in its new location in September, and plans to open a restaurant within the space next year. He said. "Not only is there an underserved office population in the area, but the explosive growth of residential properties and increased tourism provides a great opportunity for Chop't."

The lease was negotiated between McCabe and Gotham Organization's COO Chris Jaskiewicz, who said that Chop't signed a 10-year lease with the option to renew for an additional five years. Gotham was represented by Brad Cohen, Jason Pennington and Patricia Garcia of Ripco Real Estate Corp. and Jeffrey Samuels and Michael Sobel of Wilk Auslander LLP on this deal. Chop't was represented by Craig Hantgan, Esq.
