Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Patronizes Opening Ceremony of 33rd Janadriyah 4 Janadriyah.

Then, Indonesia's Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani delivered a speech during which she expressed, in her own name and on behalf of the government and people of the Republic of Indonesia, her sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for providing the opportunity for the Republic of Indonesia to be a guest of honor for this prestigious national event. She said that this grant is a valuable gift to the government and people of Indonesia to celebrate the golden age of bilateral relations between the two countries, namely the Saudi-Indonesian era, especially after the historic visit paid by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Indonesia in 2017 which gave a strong political impetus to the promotion of bilateral relations between the two countries. The Minister Maharani added that Janadriyah Festival is an annual event that brings together the richness of the cultural heritage of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and an opportunity to deepen the knowledge of every aspect of culture in the Kingdom, stressing that the Indonesian Government is determined to exploit the festival's activities in the best possible way to highlight the richness of its cultural heritage under the banner of "Unity in Diversity for Promotion of Moderation and Global Peace." She explained that Indonesia has more than 17,000 islands with a population of more than 260 million, and has more than 714 ethnic groups of different cultures and languages and its national emblem is "Unity in Diversity" which reflects the country's diversity and forms the largest country in the world in terms of the number of Muslim population, along with its embracing five other religions. She went out saying that the pavilion of her country includes historical archives in the form of pictures and videos of the bilateral relations between the two countries, including contacts between the two peoples, especially Indonesian visits to the Kingdom to perform Hajj and Umrah as well as study, as well as exchange visits between the leaders of the two countries. Moreover the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia stressed that cultural cooperation is the best tool for knowledge of each other. This cooperation can be implemented through cultural exchange and mutual understanding of the social foundations of each people such as language, customs and cultural traditions, hoping that Indonesia's participation in the festival will achieve the aspirations to understand the Indonesian culture, know the developments of its current social and economic development and enhance the deep rooted relationships existing between the two countries to achieve a prosperous future. --More 22:47 LOCAL TIME 19:47 GMT 0036 www.spa.gov.sa/1855635
