Curtis' artwork is in the frame.

Designs used in Hollywood movie Mars Attacks and Oscar-winning film A Close Shave have gone on show in Middlesbrough.

Sam's Place Gallery in Linthorpe Road is hosting an exhibition of the work of Curtis Jobling.

As well as his Aardman Animation and movie credits, the Blackpool-born artist designed the BAFTA winning Bob The Builder series and he has also written a number of children's books.

The exhibition of his work is entitled Creature Feature and as well as some of the work he has contributed to TV shows it includes a number of his paintings. Limited edition prints of Curtis' work will also be on sale in the show, which runs until Friday, April 2.
