Curfew imposed in Khyber Agency.

PESHAWAR/SWAT, September 09, 2009 (Balochistan Times): Accelerating their efforts against militants in Khyber Agencys Tehsil Bara, curfew has again been imposed on Wednesday morning. According to details, Security Forces have imposed curfew in Khyber Agency while check posts have been handed over to Khasadar Force. After haphazard firing and mortar shells, Security Forces have decided to impose curfew for an indefinite period of time. All the roads linking from Bara have been closed. Security forces during operation has arrested more than 30 suspects and started initial investigations. While on the other hand, Secret Police has been kept on a high alert as activists of the banned outfits could try to flee from the area thus strict vigilance and patrolling is underway. Firing of mortar shells and haphazard aerial firing was continuing in Budh Pir, Shahab Khel, Kokri and other areas till the filing of the report.
