Cure for the flu? A tissue.

THE Government unveils its new weapon against a flu outbreak this week - teaching people to sneeze into a tissue.

A "Catch It, Bin It, Kill It" campaign aims to persuade people to use a tissue, dispose of it quickly and wash their hands to stop germs spreading.

With thousands of lives at risk if an epidemic breaks out, Chief Medical Officer Sir Liam Donaldson said: "If we all followed the simple rules, the spread of flu could be reduced."

But GP Dr Robert Faulconer said: "It's laughable. People know to sneeze into a tissue and to suggest that doing this is going to cure the flu crisis is unbelievable."
