Culture Minister proposes to inscribe Kok-Boru game on UNESCO World Heritage list.

The Culture Minister Azamat Jamankulov proposed to inscribe Kok-Boru national game on the UNESCO World Heritage list from Turkic world at the VII meeting of UNESCO National Commissions and Committees of TURKSOY member countries.

The Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture Dusen Kaseinov, the mayor of Osh city Taalaibek Sarybashov and others attended the meeting.

The meeting participants discussed the number of topical issues, as well as noted the specific hospitality and added that on these days they learned about the traditions and customs of Kyrgyz people.

"The national games, traditions, customs and dishes of Turkic countries are alike. We can unite them and inscribe on the UNESCO World Heritage list from Turkic world," said Jamankulov.

Culture minister noted that the construction of two-storey houses began in the Sulaiman-Too buffer zone. However, later the works were suspended. From now on, the UNESCO commission will check and define how much floors can be built there.
