Cultural Council honors grant recipients.

WESTBORO - The Westborough Cultural Council honored its grant recipients at a Feb. 6 reception. Thanks to continued state and town funding and to generous donations from Amica Insurance, EMSEAL, Marlborough Savings Bank, Richard and Diane Irwin, Roche Brothers Supermarkets, and Price Chopper Supermarkets, as well as the continuing success of Arts in Common, the council increased its grants by 40 percent in number and total dollars. Awards were presented by state Sen. Jamie Eldridge and Westboro Selectmen Leigh Emery, Tim Dodd and Ian Johnson.

These grantees attended:

Chamber Music Metrowest

Chinese Art Group

Chinese Language School Demonstration

Elsie Kaye Glasswork

Hundredth Town Chorus

Interfaith Hospitality Concert

Northborough Community Chorus

Shir Joy Chorus

Skyrise Children's Theater - "The Wizard of Oz"

Symphony Pro Musica

Vivaldi Cello Concert

Westborough Community Band

Westborough Community Chorus

Westborough Community Land Trust - Owls

Westborough Historical Society
