Pandas at a zoo in China's southern city of Guangzhou will keep cool this summer in a newly opened ice park.

Known for their fondness of cool and breezy weather, the pandas at the Xiangjiang Safari Park romped and rolled in artificial ice and snow, earlier, in a newly constructed panda habitat.

A worker at the park said the snow and ice will help keep the pandas happy during the hot summer months.

Special artificial ice and snow machines are being operated in the park to maintain the cool temperatures.
