Crystal Decisions launches two version 9.0 products. (BI News Review).
Crystal Decisions Inc has officially released the latest 9.0 versions of its enterprise reporting and information delivery software--Crystal Enterprise 9 Premium and Crystal Analysis Professional 9.Officials at the Palo Alto, California-based business intelligence software provider say that Enterprise 9 Premium "blends" all its reporting, analysis and information delivery technologies into a single, scaleable platform. The latest offering also includes new features such as Web-based ad hoc analysis capabilities and enhanced report design (through tighter coupling of its Reports and
Analysis components). An enhanced developer interface for building analytic applications, with API support for .NET, Java, and COM environments is also included in the platform. Analysis Professional 9 is a Web-based analysis and reporting tool that is fully integrated into the Crystal Enterprise platform. New features include integration with Crystal Reports, a market-leading report writer, guided analysis capabilities, deeper integration with Excel spreadsheet environments, and more open integration with third-party data sources such as Hyperion Essbase.
