Crowded House- Extra Time.

Neil Finn was born in Te Awamutu on New Zealand's North Island on May 27, 1958. Before forming Crowded House, Neil and younger brother Tim found fame in New Wave band Split Enz, most famous for their 1980 single I Got You.

After Split Enz disbanded in 1984, he formed another group The Mullanes, which was quickly renamed Crowded House after the house the band were sharing in Melbourne, Australia.

Their 1986 self-titled debut reached No 12 in the US album charts, and contained two of their best-known songs, Don't Dream It's Over and Fall At Your Feet.

Neil has two sons, Liam and Elroy, who are both musicians. Liam released his highly acclaimed debut I'll Be Lightning in 2007.
