Croatia's National Day observed.
At a reception at Aleksandar Palace hotel on 21 June, the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in the Republic of Macedonia marked the 25th anniversary of Croatia's independence and the 25th anniversary of the Croatian Armed Forces.
Wellcoming the guests, Croatian Ambassador H. E. Danijela Barisic said that twentyfive years ago Croatia decided to continue its path as a sovreign and independent state with clearly defined objectives--membership in the EU and NATO--which the country had since achieved.
She also stressed that the path was neither easy nor simple, but Croatia succeeded thanks to the social arrangement in which the majority of citizens, but also all key political stakeholders were aware of the importance of mutual dialogue and national consensus in order to achieve the aim. We hope that our Macedonian friends will do the same, said the ambassador.
Croatia and Macedonia have traditionally good and friendly bilateral relations, Croatian brands have long been known in Macedonia. Moreover, the Croatian community in Macedonia, as well as the Macedonian community in Croatia are precious connection between our two countries, said Ambassador Barisic.
