Crispin to sell cider in a box.

Crispin Cider Co., a subsidiary of Tenth & Blake, the craft and import division of Chicago-based MillerCoors LLC, reported this week that it will sell its Crispin Cidre Blanc and Fox Barrel Pomegranate & Pear products in boxed format.

"We know that cider drinkers are wine drinkers, and vice-versa, so in many ways cider is the ultimate 'bridge' beverage between beer and wine--the beer for wine drinkers and the wine for beer drinkers," said Joe Heron, Crispin Cider president and CEO. "Our boxed ciders reflect that connection in a fun and delicious way."

Each Crispin Cider box contains three liters of non-carbonated, still cider, equal to four 750-milliliter bottles of wine.

Once opened and stored in a refrigerator, the cider will stay fresh for about four weeks, according to Crispin.

Crispin Cidre Blanc is fermented with a white wine yeast and unpasteurized American apple juice.

Fox Barrel Pomegranate & Pear is fermented using unpasteurized pear juice and infused with pomegranate juice and blackberry juice.

The boxed ciders' suggested retail price is $14.99.
