ASADABAD (PAN): Nearly 150 youngsters on Thursday completed a six-day cricket training course in eastern Kunar province, an official said.

Arranged by the Loba Sports Training Organisation (LSTO), the youth were told how to bat, bowl and field at the training camp that was attended by boys from various parts of the province.

LSTO Deputy Director Zarab Shah Zaheer told Pajhwok Afghan News the participants were imparted training by expert who tried their best to transfer their knowledge to the youngsters.

He said the participants were divided into two groups, having 50 boys each, for playing matches with their counterparts in Laghman and Nangarhar provinces.

Zaheer added players having shown good performances would be taken to Kabul for more matches with better teams.

Kunar Sports Director Abdullah Adil praised LSTO for arranging the programme and hoped the organisation would continue to conduct such events in the future as well.
