Cricket: Rainhill's island paradise.

RAINHILL recorded a tremendous victory in the Isle of Man against St John's on Sunday in the Lancashire Knockout.

Captain Mike Rotherham top scored with 48 in the Mersey team's 133-7. The home side looked poised for victory at 1325, but in an incredible finish,Mattie Dale took three wickets and Rehan Rafique ran out the last pair off the last ball.

It gave Rainhill victory by one run, with the last five St John's wickets falling in nine balls without scoring.
