Cricket: Horton hits ton.

SEFTON PARK'S Paul Horton struck his third first-class century of the season to lead Lancashire's fiqhtback against Hampshire in their County Championship clash at Old Trafford.

Former Zimbabwe all-rounder Sean Ervine had earlier smashed 103 not out to help Hampshire reach 393.

Lanes slipped to 7-2 but Horton buckled down to graft his way to 135 not out. Horton brought up his three figures in 212 balls with 15 fours.

By the close the home side were 296-4, 97 runs adrift.
