Creekside dining in San Luis Obispo

Along the creek running through San LuisObispo's Mission Plaza, several eateries offer alfresco dining (three also serve up music). If you're traveling highways 101 or 1, stop for lunch or dinner.

Reservations may be necessary on weekendevenings. Prices range from a few dollars for a sandwich to a dinner maximum of about $15.

From U.S. 101, exit northeast on MarshStreet; go about 1/2 mile to Broad Street, then turn left and go one block to Higuera Street, where you'll find most of these restaurants.
