Ohio-based Wright-Patt Credit Union has announced that it has launched an app for smart watches.

Customers will be able to perform banking transactions using the app installed in their smartwatches, the credit union said. The new app, developed by Digital Insight, is closely related to the current mobile banking application for the credit union.

Tracy Fors, vice president of Marketing and Business Development for the credit union said, 'While we are the first in the country, others will soon follow. We are working on an Apple Watch app that will have similar functionality.'
