Credit due for brilliant display of flowers on A45; Letters

MANY moons ago we saw a load of soil deposited, top dressing the central reservation on the A45 Kenpas Highway. "What's that for?" we thought.

Hey presto, we returned from holiday recently to be confronted by a plethora of colour, wild owers all the way up the highway, what a fantastic display! But who did it? e A45 is a trunk road, was it the Highways Authority or the city council? Whoever it was stand up and be counted, take the credit for a brilliant decision.

I am surprised the Coventry Telegraph has not done an article on it so far, everybody is talking about the display and nobody knows who has done it!

Bob Rankin, by email.

Editor's note: We did do a story on the wildowers planting programme on April 9, it's part of a city council project to brighten up verges and also includes two remembrance poppy meadows at War Memorial Park.
