Crazy saga.

WHAT a black farce the ongoing saga of Colwyn Bay's pier has become.

I mean no disrespect to former owner Steve Hunt but having gone bankrupt, he is hardly the ideal man to be in charge of this particular money pit. If he cares about the pier, his best bet is to leave it in the hands of those with deeper pockets.

It is crazy that judges must now be called in to decide who owns this rickety, rusting structure. I'll tell you who owns it: the person(s) who will have to pay thousands of pounds compensation if ever it topples over and falls on someone's head. If the pier is a dreadful sight now, think how much worse it will look after the redevelopment of the seafront.

Knock it down or do it up!
