Crash victim named; NEWS IN BRIEF.
A WELL.KNOWN councillor and former WRU referee has been named as the man who died in a crash in Neath.
Dennis Lewis, 89, from Cwmtwrch, Swansea, is well-known in the Ystradgynlais area as a town councillor.
The Labour Party politician covered the Cwmtrwch and Gurnos ward.
He died when his car crashed into a brick wall in Neath on Monday afternoon.
South Wales Police say they are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.
Officers were called to the scene on Dwr Y Felin Road at 2.35pm on Monday, after a grey Nissan Juke driven by Mr Lewis left the road and collided with a wall.
