Crackdown ordered against packing of spurious pesticides.

LAHORE -- Lahore Division Addl Commissioner (Coordination) Sohail Khawaja on Tuesday directed the officials concerned to launch a crackdown against those involved in packing fake products including seeds, pesticides and fertilizers.

Presiding over a meeting of agriculture task force committee here, he said profiteers would be taken to task with prompt action.

He said action would be taken against those who would not dispatch laboratory samples, collected during field checking in time, adding that no negligence would be tolerated in this regard.

He also directed the officials concerned to initiate a crackdown against unregistered fertilizer companies.

The officers from agriculture department, police, revenue and others also attended the meeting.
