Best Data, an emerging manufacturer in the fast-paced broadband market, announced today that it has a purchase agreement with Cox Communications. The agreement provides for a Cox Communications large volume purchase of Best Data DOCSIS cable modems to be deployed throughout Cox's service area.

"The consumer demand for high-speed Internet access is nothing short of remarkable," said Bruce Zaman, President and CEO of Best Data Products. "Through these large volume purchase orders we are seeing the momentum that Best Data cable modems are gaining in broadband system deployment."

Dick Wallace, Vice President of Materials Management for Cox Communications, agreed. "With the standardization of the DOCSIS platform in cable communications, Best Data provides another solid resource that Cox, along with other MSOs, can utilize for DOCSIS certified modems. We look forward to working with Best Data, now and in the future, on the successful deployment of cable modems to our subscriber base."
