Coveo Enterprise Search Deployed on the SAAQ Intranet; Award-Winning Search Engine Chosen by Canadian Government Agency.

QUEBEC and PALO ALTO, Calif., March 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Coveo Solutions Inc., pioneer of integrated and secure search solutions for the desktop, Intranet and Web, announced today that CGI, one of the most prestigious IT services firms in North America, has deployed Coveo Enterprise Search (CES) on the intranet of the Societe de l'assurance automobile du Quebec (SAAQ), one of the most important government organizations in Canada. CES was deployed after an invitation to tender was won with CGI. The functionality that CES offers clearly answered the SAAQ's selection criteria.

CES, a search application made especially for businesses, addresses the high costs, complexity and deployment difficulties associated with traditional search solutions for enterprises. CES can be installed quickly and easily. As a result, a system administrator can, a few minutes after having downloaded the software, provide its users with a unified search interface for all available information resources in the enterprise network. By integrating data security and protection rules managed by the Microsoft Windows operating system, CES ensures that sensitive data is not accessible to unauthorized persons.

The SAAQ uses CES to allow its employees to easily retrieve information disseminated across its intranet. The previous solution had become obsolete, and an invitation to tender was made to find a modern and user-friendly replacement.

"We have been pleased with the support and collaboration of Coveo's team during the deployment of the solution," said Bruno Coulombe, Project Director of SAAQ. "We chose CES for its search capabilities and we integrated it with other products in order to support the SAAQ's intranet. This way, costs were lower then those of other integrated solutions on the market and all users' needs were met."

"We are proud to count the SAAQ among our clients," said Laurent Simoneau, President and CEO of Coveo. "All of Coveo's efforts are aimed at developing an enterprise search solution with outstanding performance and ease of management that remains affordable."
