Judge James R. Lemire

Richard H. Cumming, 60, of MCI-Norfolk, was charged with two counts of statutory rape of a child. The charges were dismissed.

Melissa J. Morales, 35, of 45 Grand St., Worcester, was sentenced to three concurrent terms of 3 to 4 years in Framingham State Prison after pleading guilty to armed robbery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and larceny over $250. She was placed on eight years probation after pleading guilty to unarmed robbery. The charge was amended from armed burglary.

As conditions of probation, she was ordered to have no contact with the victim, to refrain from illegal drug and alcohol use, to undergo substance abuse and mental health evaluations with any related treatment and counseling as recommended by the Probation Department, to attend a six-month inpatient substance abuse program, to continue with substance abuse treatment upon release from inpatient program, to take any prescribed medications, not to possess weapons including knives, to maintain employment or schooling, and to pay $1,500 restitution.
