Court date for robbery bid suspect.

A 24 year-old man appeared in court last week in connection with four attempted armed robberies at shops across Forth Valley.

The first incident took place at Ladbrokes bookmakers on Ochil Street in Tullibody on Monday, January 21.

The second incident took place at Ladbrokes at Hallglen Shopping Centre in Falkirk the following day.

On Wednesday, January 23, the Betfred betting shop on Ochil Street in Tullibody was targeted in the morning with a fourth attempt made at the Santa Cruz Kustom Club tattoo studio in Huntly Crescent, Raploch, later that same day.

All four incidents involved staff being threatened with a knife.

Detective Inspector Frank Travers of Forth Valley's CID said: "These incidents were understandably distressing to the staff members affected, as well as concerning to other local businesses.

"A man has now been arrested and charged in connection with these, and I want to extend my sincere thanks to the businesses and the public for their continued support throughout our enquiries."

The man appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court last Thursday.
