Court TV back on MediaOne docket.

CHICAGO After being dropped five months ago by MediaOne, Court TV has signed a new affiliate deal with the cabler to get back the subscribers that the channel lost.

In addition to its new distribution agreement with MediaOne, the crime-and-punishment channel has also signed new long-term affiliate deals with satcaster DirecTV and cablers Comcast and AT&T.

Through these deals, Court TV will add 2.4 million subscribers in the third quarter and a total of 6.4 million homes in coming years. The cable web will end 1999 with almost 40 million subscribers, up from 34 million at the beginning of the year.
