Court In Brief.

AMONG the cases dealt with by Teesside Magistrates' Court on May 9 were: Simon Andrew Ellis, 26, of Vulcan Way, Thornaby, given a 12-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months with supervision and 150 hours' unpaid work for failing to comply with a community order, assault causing actual bodily harm, assault and criminal damage.

Wayne Lee Bligh, 30, of Patterdale Avenue, Acklam, Middlesbrough, banned from driving for 17 months and fined PS425 with PS105 costs for drink driving and possession of a Class A drug.

Andrew Henwood, 33, of Kinver Close, Middlesbrough, fined PS170 with PS105 costs for using a vehicle without insurance.

Dawn Eileen Mann, 42, of Bath Lane, Stockton, given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay PS8.98 compensation with PS60 costs for theft.

Bronson Robinson, 21, of Cambridge Avenue, Linthorpe, Middlesbrough, fined PS200 with PS105 costs for possession of a Class B drug and breach of a conditional discharge.

Glynis Alderson, 52, of Newquay Close, Hemlington, Middlesbrough, banned from driving for 12 months and fined PS110 with PS60 costs for drink driving.

Stewart James Mackay, 59, of Essex Street, Middlesbrough, fined PS110 with PS70 costs for theft.

Michael Donald McNeil, 24, of Buttermere Road, Grangetown, fined PS180 with PS60 costs for possession of a Class B drug, theft and breach of a conditional discharge.

Michela Jane Parkes, 20, of Millbrook Avenue, Brambles Farm, Middlesbrough, fined PS110 with PS60 costs for theft.

Judith Weedall, 66, of Milton Street, Saltburn, fined PS210 with PS61 costs for driving without due care and attention.

Andrew Scott Bateman, 35, of Thames Avenue, Guisborough, fined PS600 with PS110 costs for using a vehicle without insurance.

Luke Appleby, 23, of Bridge Street West, central Middlesbrough, given a one-year community order with supervision and ordered to pay PS100 costs for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.

Farid Belmihoub, 40, of Laycock Street, Middlesbrough, given a one-year community order with activity and supervision requirements and ordered to pay PS1 compensation for breaching a non-molestation order.

Deborah Bradley, 48, of Ash Hill, Coulby Newham, Middlesbrough, given a one-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay PS55 costs for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.

John William Lowe, 46, of Buttermere Avenue, Grangetown, given a one-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay PS55 costs for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.

Michael Patrick Williams, 57, of no fixed address, jailed for 20 weeks for breaching an anti-social behaviour order and criminal damage.
