Court In Brief.

A COVENTRY man has been banned from the roads for 12 months for a string of motoring offences.

Bhekimpilo Nyathi, aged 25, of Upper Ride Road, Willenhall, Coventry, was charged with driving without due care and attention, failing to report an accident, driving while disqualified and using a vehicle without insurance.

As well as a 12- month driving ban, he was given a community punishment order for 18 months and fined pounds 250.

Other cases dealt with by Coventry magistrates on December 13 included:

Blair Luke Howarth, aged 20, of Beaumaris Close, Allesley Green, Coventry, driving without due care and attention, causing damage to a vehicle, failing to report an accident, fined pounds 250.

James Michael Kavanagh, aged 29, of Coleman Street, Tile Hill, Coventry, assaulting a police constable in the execution of her duty, community punishment order for 120 hours, ordered to pay compensation of pounds 106.30.

Gareth Neil Suddens, aged 26, of Flamborough Close, Coventry, assault, harassment, criminal damage, four months imprisonment suspended for two years, community punishment order for 200 hours, 12- month restraining order made, ordered to pay compensation of pounds 400.

Mohammed Adan Abshir, aged 24, of Wroxall Drive, Coventry, driving with an incorrect licence, failing to produce a licence, fined pounds 50.

Phefumula Khumalo, aged 33, of Dunsmore Avenue, Coventry, driving with an incorrect licence, failing to produce a licence, fined pounds 75.

Stacey Anne Ratigan, aged 24, of Leicester Causeway, Coventry, breaching suspended sentence, suspended sentence to continue, community punishment order for 20 hours.

Zhanna Bogdanaviciute, aged 26, of Mason Road, Coventry, theft to the value of pounds 145.38, community punishment order for 40 hours.

Alec Knight, aged 18, of Swan Lane, Barras Heath, Coventry, driving a motor vehicle without wearing protective headgear, using a vehicle without a test certificate, driving with an incorrect licence, using a vehicle without insurance, fined pounds 300.

Blind Hahamhm Latif, aged 26, of Harnall Lane, Hillfields, Coventry, driving with an incorrect licence, using a vehicle without insurance, fined pounds 300.

Mark James Nickel, aged 23, of Kingsland Avenue, Chapelfields, Coventry, driving with an incorrect licence, failing to produce a licence, fined pounds 60.

Yasmin Begum, aged 30, of Lythalls Lane, Coventry, three charges of making a false representation to obtain social security, conditional discharge for two years.

Nicola Jayne Boyea, aged 25, of Ridgethorpe, Coventry, two charges of making a false representation to obtain social security, eight offences taken into consideration, fined pounds 350 and ordered to pay pounds 75 costs.

Robin Colin Craig Brown, aged 22, of Widdrington Road, Coventry, making a false representation to obtain social security, conditionally discharged for 12 months and ordered to pay pounds 75 costs.

Ghislain Chiadjeu, aged 30, of Samuel Vale House, Spon End, Coventry, four counts of failing to comply with the Food Hygiene Act at food premises, namely Ndkotti in Clay Lane, Stoke, fined pounds 1000 and ordered to pay pounds 500 costs.

Aristide Harimenshi, aged 28, of Grindle Road, Coventry, making a false representation to obtain social security, conditionally discharged for 12 months.

Melissa Roxburgh, aged 21, of Dunsmore Avenue, Coventry, contravening the Environmental Protection Act, fined pounds 200 and ordered to pay pounds 150 costs.

David Boscott, aged 36, of St George's Road, Stoke, Coventry, drunk and disorderly behaviour in a public place, discharged conditionally for 12 months.

Edward Albert Kinng, aged 56, of Charminster Drive, Fenside, Coventry, driving with excess alcohol, banned from driving for 12 months, fined pounds 250, drink-drive course accepted.

David Anthony Grewcock, aged 19, of Cedar Road, Camp Hill, Nuneaton, theft to the value of pounds 10, three counts of failing to comply with a community order, four months imprisonment.

Pawel Gan Woch, aged 23, of Bolingbrooke Road, Stoke, Coventry, driving while disqualified, using a vehicle without a test certificate, driving without insurance, obstructing a police constable in the execution of his duty, community punishment order for 100 hours, fined pounds 310.

Beston Salah Saled, aged 19, of King William Street, Coventry, driving without due care and attention, driving with an incorrect licence, using a vehicle without a test certificate, using a vehicle without insurance, banned from driving for six months.

Zyrian Zyrah, aged 21, of Holmsdale Road, Foleshill, Coventry, driving with an incorrect licence, using a vehicle without insurance, fined pounds 200.

Elvis Gaskin, aged 43, of Woodside Mobile Home Park, Old Oxford Road, Ryton, theft to the value of pounds 3, two charges of assaulting a police constable in the execution of his duty, community punishment order for 12 months, ordered to pay compensation totalling pounds 128.
