Courses on offer.

Adults hoping to improve their career prospects will be lining up to try one of the courses in North Tyneside's adult education prospectus.

The prospectus has been re-designed to make it easier for residents to find the subject that interests them in their own areas.

There are more than 350 courses to choose from, with everything from first-aid and pool lifeguard training to information technology and art appreciation.

Classes in the basics of spelling and maths or getting a certificate in Food Hygiene are all there.

The adult education unit is also offering a British sign language course for the family.
