Course gives advice for Life.

PEOPLE from all walks of life have completed a basic pregnancy care counselling skills course.

Life - the largest national pregnancy care charity in the UK - held the course at its HQ in Newbold Terrace.

The courses aim to help train counsellors to work at Life care centres which offer pregnancy counselling, support before and after abortion, and general advice on pregnancy and fertility

Dawn Clee, Life's publicity officer, said: "The participants can now go on to more advanced counselling courses where a basic skills qualification is a pre-requisite. Three of them plan to go on a course at Warwickshire College.

"People from all walks of life applied, from teaching, nursing and health professionals, to those who simply wanted to improve their listening and communication skills."

Life has 130 care centres nationwide staffed by trained volunteers.
