Couple's double heartbreak as 12-week-old dies.
The Glamorgan coroner is investigating.
Distraught mother Sharon Williams, 33, cradled herself at her home in Trebanog Road, Trebanog, struggling to come to terms with tragedy.
Sharon said her boyfriend Aaron Davidson, 20, has been inconsolable since finding his son lifeless at around 2am and said doctors had described the tragedy as a Sudden Infant Death syndrome.
The tot will be buried in Trealaw with his mum's brother Keiron who died at the age of five following a diabetic coma in 1970.
Sharon, who also has a son Michael, 13, said: ``It's truly awful, especially after losing my brother Keiron all those years ago.
``Ross was chirpy and happy, laughing and trying to talk just hours before.
``There seemed to be nothing wrong with him at all and then this happens - it doesn't make sense.
``But then they say that about cot death - they don't know what are the reasons, the causes behind it.
``The baby was my boyfriend Aaron's first child and he's devastated - nobody can say anything that can ease the pain.
``All we can do now is wait for news from the coroner of when we can have the funeral,'' she added.
