County must share blame over bridge I THINK that Denbighshire County Council must share the blame for the need to install a single lane with permanent traffic lights on Rhuddlan bridge.

They made regulations imposing a 7.5 ton weight limit on through traffic but it is never enforced. They say the responsibility lies with the police for enforcement but why don't they talk to each other? We have to suffer constant huge tractors and trailers passing through the village that should be using the by-pass.

My house often shakes so the bridge must be experiencing similar vibrations with these huge overweight vehicles.

Also, nothing has been done to traffic-calm the village to try to persuade vehicles travelling between Abergele or St Asaph and Prestatyn to use the by-pass.

Priority give-way build-outs were promised and construction actually began but they were quickly dismantled. Periodic enforcement of the weight limit plus a few traffic-calming measures might have prevented the situation we have today.
