County in crisis down at the bottom.

NOTTS County are rockbottom of League One and crashed out of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy on Tuesday with a 5-1 defeat at Oldham.

Skipper Dean Leacock was sent off in the match and serves a one-match ban, while Danny Haynes serves the third and final match of his suspension.

Villa's Jack Grealish is away with Ireland's Under-21s. Andre Boucaud (Trinidad and Tobago) and Greg Tempest (Northern Ireland Under-21s) are also absent.

New boss Shaun Derry was forced to apologise to the 126 fans who made the 160-mile round trip to Boundary Park, branding the display 'not acceptable'.

"There's not many times in my career that I've THE OPPO been speechless but I'm speechless with what I've seen," Derry fumed.

"We're at a crossroads.

I know which direction I'm going in. It's up to the players now whether they want to come with us."

Former Nottingham Forest right-back, Kieron Freeman, made his debut on Tuesday after rejoining the club on a two-month loan from Derby County only a couple of hours before kick-off.
