County earn battling draw; LEAGUE TWO.

NEWPORT County splashed their way to a battling draw in monsoon conditions at Dagenham and Redbridge.

The Exiles opened the scoring in the 25th minute when Chris Zebroski rounded off sterling defensive work from striker Christian Jolley's defensive work ethic.

Jolley chased back to win possession before setting off back upfield to give Zebroski his chance.

The Daggers struck back on 59 minutes when new signing Zavon Hines' chip allowed Abu Ogogo to bundle the ball into the back of the net off his knee.

It was the final action on the scoreboard leaving Newport boss Justin Edinburgh with mixed feelings.

"You come to a tough place like Dagenham and Redbridge and you'd have always looked to grab a point," said Edinburgh.

"I I just felt if we'd got that second we could have put the game to bed."
