Countryside website gets a makeover; WORCESTERSHIRE.

A WEBSITE has been given a makeover in a bid to attract more people to the Worcestershire countryside.

The new-look website features information on walks, public rights of way, trees and wildlife.

Internet surfers will be able to download leaflets, site maps and request publications with an easy-to-use system.

Kate Westlake, countryside marketing officer at Worcestershire County Council, which runs the site, said: "This is becoming an increasingly popular and easier method to find information and plan visits to countryside sites within Worcestershire.

"We have made the site as easy to use as possible with clear headings and handy links.

"In response to users' comments, the new site gives improved, more in-depth information and the facility to download publications."
