Notice is given that, following the resignation of Richard Crum, council member in electoral constituency 3 (East Midlands and East Anglia), a new candidate is sought to represent the constituency on CIMA council. The casual vacancy will be until the close of the AGM 2012, as prescribed by bye-law 39(b). At the close of the AGM 2012 the successful candidate may stand for re-election for a further three-year term in accordance with bye-law 38.
Nominations for candidates (fellows) to fill this casual vacancy may be made by any six members (three of whom must be fellows) whose registered addresses are in electoral constituency 3.
Nomination forms for candidates for election may be obtained from Maggie Heasman, head of corporate affairs at CIMA (call 020 8849 2235 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org). Forms may also be downloaded from www.snipurl.com/ua16q, where there are further details about the ballot process and the role of council members.
Nominations must be received on the prescribed form by noon on Wednesday March 31, and should be clearly marked for the attention of the head of corporate affairs, at 26 Chapter Street, London SW1P4NR Faxes or scanned copies are acceptable, but must be followed immediately by the signed original. It is the candidate's responsibility to ensure that their nomination form has been submitted correctly and on time and that receipt of the form has been acknowledged. If more than one candidate is nominated for the vacancy for each constituency, a postal and online ballot will be conducted.

John Weston was elected for Area 5 (North East England), for his first term as a member of council, to serve from August 2009 until the close of the AGM in 2012. He fills the casual vacancy created by the resignation of John Joyce in June 2009.
