Council for Business Development to consider tougher punishment for corporate raids.

The meeting of the Council for Business Development and Investments will be held on February 16 in the government under chairmanship of Prime Minister Omurbek Babanov, reported the on-line edition Tazabek. The Council will discuss a package of regulations drafted in connection with 100-day action plan of the Stability and Decent Life Program of the Kyrgyz government, including simplification of procedures for VAT reimbursement and reduction of sales tax rates with subsequent abolishment; package of draft laws on subsoil and mining sector reforms. Development of medium-term action program for tourism development and abolishment of visa requirements; temporary ban on business checks; abolishment of unnecessary licenses and permits; tougher punishment for corporate raids will be discussed among other issues. The Council for Business Development and Investments was founded on 5 August 2010 at the initiative of the business community. Its main task is to ensure an effective dialogue among the state and business with regard to improvement of business environment and investment climate.
