Could you join the Lost Tribe?

OPEN auditions are being held for a new community play, 'Lost Tribe of Everton & Scottie Road', coming to the Capstone Theatre in November.

Writer and ECHO columnist Ken Rogers and producer Mike Howl are aiming to capture the folklore of the 1960s slum clearance era that all but wiped out the tightly-packed terraced houses of Everton and its famous neighbour, Scotland Road. Over 125,000 were scattered to new towns and estates like Kirkby and Skelmersdale.

Ken said: "We want to prove that humour and a sheer love of life can inspire communities to rise above the worst life can throw at them."

The auditions are taking place this Friday (5pm to 9pm) at The Eldonian Village Hall, Vauxhall Road. Anybody interested should contact Mike Howl on 07930 347909 or howl.
