Coughlan tells of horror at 'drunks and drugs' on isle.

Byline: EXCLUSIVE BY GARRETH MACNAMEE

FOLK singer Mary Coughlan yesterday told how she was horrified by what she saw in Magaluf after travelling there to help her teenage son.

The 18-year-old's passport had been torn up and thrown out of a window after he told pals he'd had enough and wanted to go home.

Mary jetted to the holiday island of Majorca earlier this week to sort out documentation and said she was disgusted by what she saw in Magaluf.

She added: "It's just a horrible place. I don't think parents know about how dangerous and disgusting it is.

"There were drunk people everywhere and everyone was doing drugs."

And speaking of the viral video, Mary said the sad reality was that sort of behaviour seemed to be the norm.

She added: "It's pretty common by all accounts. It's one of the worst parts about the place."
