Corrie bad boy now a panto star.

IT MIGHT be mid-summer but the focus is on Christmas in Liverpool as the Echo Arena reveals it is to stage one of the best loved pantos of all in a big top tent. Sleeping Beauty will star Andrew Lancel, Coronation Street's bad boy Frank Foster, as Carabose the Wicked Wizard and Master of the Underworld.

Tickets went on sale today for what promises to be a magical show, staged in a magnificent heated 3,000 capacity Big Top to be erected on the Kings Dock site, next to BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena. It will be a highlight of a Christmas Family Festival, further details of which will be announced in coming months.

Sleeping Beauty will be produced by David Lee who promises it will jam-packed with laughs, action, drama, surprises, music and plenty of audience participation. The spectacular set will include a rotating spinning tower castle plus a 15-ft smoke breathing dragon.
