28/01/2020 10:26, TUNIS/Tunisia

(TAP) -- Director General of Consular Affairs Mohamed Ali Nafti indicated on Monday that there is no contact with Tunisian students in China, estimated between 14 and 15 students, due to the suspension of all public transport means to leave the Wuhan city, capital of the Hubei province (11 million inhabitants) located in central China that is totally isolated over fear of spreading the coronavirus epidemic.

"The Tunisian diplomacy will spare no effort to evacuate the blocked Tunisian nationals at the earliest opportunity," he affirmed on the fringes of a hearing session held by the HPR committee of Tunisian expatriates, devoted to the examination of the measures taken by the Foreign Ministry to protect the Tunisian community in Libya.

He pointed out that the Chinese authorities are about to take control of the situation and provide all sound protective measures to prevent the spread of this deadly virus.

No case of contamination by the coronavirus has been recorded in Tunisia until Sunday, January 26, 2020, since its appearance for the first time in China on December 31, 2019.
