Coronation Street star Antony Cotton has already swapped the cobbles for the ice, but now he's taken to the skies.

The soap actor shocked plane passengers when he joined the cabin crew for their flight.

Antony isn't going for a drastic career change - it was all in preparation for this Sunday's Dancing On Ice routine.

Alongside professional partner Brandee Malto, he had a crash course on how to be an air steward.

Antony really got into the swing of his new role on board the Virgin Atlantic jumbo jet.

It was all in honour of this week's routine, which will feature a nod to their newly acquired air stewarding skills.

The Corrie star delighted passengers, who were shocked to hear his voice sounding out across the plane.

Antony wore a fetching brown suit with a grey waistcoat and red tie, complete with name tag.

He looked like he was having a whale of a time as he joked with passengers on their journey.

Antony and Brandee also came round with the trolley and handed out drinks and nibbles.

Antony and Brandee will be hoping it keeps them out of the dreaded skate-off, which will feature three couples for the very first time.

In a shock twist, there will be a double elimination on Sunday as the judges will only be able to save one couple.

Lets hope Antony doesn't fly off the ice this week.
