Coronation Street, ITV .. Corrie []; On Last Night's TV.

Coronation Street, ITV ..

Corrie served up TV's most uncanny lockdown coincidence yet last night.

Geoff accused Yasmeen of drinking bleach. The thing is, it was barely a laughing matter when Trump talked about downing disinfectant.

It definitely wasn't funny when Geoff brought it up.

It was the latest in a long line of disturbing comments and behaviours from a deranged individual who has become the nation's most hated man. (I'm still talking about Geoff here, not Trump.) Domestic abuser Geoff ordered Yasmeen down on her knees to apologise for giving him the STI that he had given her in the first place.

Ian Bartholomew and Shelley King put in powerhouse performances, but it was an incredibly tough episode to watch. However, as always, Corrie managed to inject a little shade elsewhere.

I could have listened to a full hour of Evelyn and Tracey suggesting song choices for Maria and Garry's wedding.

Baby Bertie provided the biggest laugh though.

Not content with wiping crumbs all over Daniel Barlow's beard as he tried to chat to Ken in Roy's Rolls, Bertie also appeared to yell a perfectly timed "Yeah" in agreement with a point Ken was making.

I'm afraid there is no such levity to be had in tomorrow night's episode.

You may have read some spoilers about what happens between Geoff and Yasmeen.

I won't add to those. Let's just say at 8pm you might hear another sustained round of applause on your street.
