Cornell names new dean of agriculture ...

Kathryn Boor has been named dean of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University, New York's Land Grant university in Ithaca, effective July 1. The appointment is for a five-year term. Boor currently is a professor and chairman of the Department of Food Science at Cornell. She received a bachelor's degree in food science from Cornell; a master's in food science from the University of Wisconsin, Madison; and a doctorate in microbiology from the University of California, Davis. She joined the Cornell faculty in 1994.
