* The Cork Information Bureau (CIB), the first in the world, opened in London in late January.

The CIB is a major part of the Portuguese Cork Association's (APCOR) new US$5.8 million publicity drive for natural cork and will be a resource of cork information, facts and news to consumers, media and the trade. The UK agency Weber Shandwick will run the CIB.

APCOR is also launching its first ever ad campaign, aimed at wine industry press and online publications in the United Kingdom, Australia and the United States. For more information, visit the company's Web site at corkmasters.com.
