Corbyn to play Glastonbury.
Labour chief is CND speaker exclusive BY ALAN SELBY THERE could soon be a political riff in the Labour party with Jeremy Corbyn set to rock 135,000 fans at Glastonbury.
The Labour leader will address the music festival in June and blast plans to renew Trident nuclear weapons, a subject which bitterly divides Labour MPs.
A Glastonbury source called it "a fabulous coup" for the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament. Festival mainstay Billy Bragg has arranged for a host of like-minded thinkers on his Left Field stage and hopes the politician will fire up the audience.
He said: "The election of Corbyn as Labour leader has galvanised a new generation of activists and we aim to give them a platform."
In the 80s CND helped organise the Somerset festival.
Mr Corbyn, rapped for his ties with CND, was made its vice president in October. A spokesman for Mr Corbyn said: "Jeremy has long been a fan of Glastonbury."
