Cops hunting missing man find 2 bodies; Remains discovered 200yds apart.

RESCUERS hunting for a missing man found TWO bodies on a coastal path.

David Cauldwell, 39, vanished after leaving a pub on Saturday and texted family to say he was "lost in the woods".

A search was launched in Torquay's Petitor Woods and on Tuesday rescuers found remains that had been there for some time. A body believed to be David was then found 200 yards away the next day.

Both bodies were on the South West Coast Path, near to recent landslide spots. Detectives said the deaths are not connected.

No formal identifications have been made and RIDDLE David the Petitor postmortems are scheduled. A Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team spokesman said of the first find: "The body is believed to have been there for some considerable time and not related to the search we were deployed on. Items found are being used to assist identification."

He added: "The second body was located on Wednesday, which appears unrelated to the remains found the night before."

Police had calls saying David went to an outdoor rave after leaving the Artful Dodger pub - but nobody saw him there. Locals said the area where the bodies were found is a treacherous route to the sea. Cauldwell and Woods in Torquay
